Stop The War On Drugs

Stop criminalizing them.

None of those approaches have been helpful and have, more to the point, been quite counter productive in net effect.

The main net benefit, it seems to me, is that some sectors of our economy made a great deal of money; legal or otherwise. And haven't we learned yet how a lot of drug money to be made inevitably leads to corruption? In some way or another? And don't be too quick to assume a limited definition of what is a drug.

Getting rid of Capitalism will not rid us of our basic flaws. These are a given and always require new ways to gainfully address them. The one thing, though, that getting rid of Capitalism will do is to remove the hot house environment that encourages people to seek private gain to extremes; because that's what money, tied to electricity, can do now; provide extremes of ability even Pharos wouldn't have been able to dream of before. And that, in case you haven't been paying attention, is what big changes in instrumentality can do. Harold Innis knew it. Marshall McLuhan knew it. And now you have to understand it.

ANOTHER REASON NOT TO JAIL DRUG ADDICTS

On average, a baby is born in withdrawal from opioids every 15 minutes in the US, according to recent research.
