Sadder still are all of the dictator wanna be's that are out there salivating at the possibilities. And how easy it could be with the right partnership with the right corruptible holders of great quantities of electrons we now absurdly refer to as money. And isn't it also interesting just how corruptible Capitalism can make human beings. Getting rid of Capitalism won't change the fact that we are frail, mistake prone, and too prone to give in to fear, creatures. Creatures who now must balance our basis as coming from the animal world, and just doing what we needed to do to survive, with the fact that we also now have sentience, and the absolute requirement to make choices; choices becoming ever more difficult precisely because our ability to grasp, to wield, and effect, has given us instrumentality, as extensions of ourselves, far beyond any formerly ordinary concept of reach. And because of that we must do things in a completely new way or we will perish. And the only choice then will be to the degree of ugly we make this suicide, and how long we drag the suffering out.
